How Online DVD Rental Works

Step 1:  Sign up for a service.
Choosing the right service is normally the tricky part, but we at DVD Rental 101™ make this easy by providing up-to-date comparisons of the top offers based on price, selection, and reputation. Find an offer here and click the "Sign Up Here" link to start renting DVDs online within minutes.

Step 2:  Choose your movies.
Once you sign up for a DVD rental service, you will be able to use the service's website to choose your DVD rentals. You will never have to leave home again to rent or return movies. Browse titles by category and search for your movie of choice from the comfort of home.

Step 3:  Movies are delivered to you.
After you choose your movies, they will be delivered to you via first class mail. This often takes 1 to 2 days if you use a reputable service, or perhaps a day or two longer if you do not. Keep the movies as long as you like, as there is never a due date or late fee. When you are done with the movies, place them in the prepaid mailers that came with your delivery and drop them in the mail. Remember, you will never pay for shipping either way; it is always prepaid by the rental service.

Step 4:  "Rinse and Repeat"
Visit the rental service's website as often as you like to select the movies you would like to rent. Keep in mind, there will be a limit as to how many DVDs you can have out at one time (usually 3 or more, depending on the rental plan you choose).  You will be able to add your movie choices to a "queue" to have a constant stream of DVDs being delivered to you as you return the ones you have already watched.

Step 5:  Cancel any time.
Each DVD rental offer featured on our site allows you to cancel any time with no further commitment. In fact, you can even sign up for a free trial offer, cancel before the free trial is up, and pay absolutely nothing. Or you can simply keep your membership for as long as you like.
